Obituary

BUFFALO, WY- Marjorie Ann Sesso passed to heaven at her home in Buffalo, WY., Jan. 12,2016, of natural causes. Marge was born on Nov. 14, 1926 in Mitchell S.D. to Herbert and Inez Stoddard. She was raised at the Stoddard Ranch near Norrris, S.D. Marge attended rural schools and graduated from White River High School in 1944. She then went on to Yankton College in Yankton, S.D. and graduated with a bachelor's degree in English, in 1948. It was during her time at Yankton, that Marge met her "city boy" Robert (Bob) Sesso.

Robert and Marjorie were married in White River on Aug.12, 1950. They both taught in rural S.D. schools, then moved to Los Banos, CA. in 1951. Bob and Marge taught in Los Banos until they moved to Rapid City in 1957. Marge stayed home and raised her children after the move to Rapid City. When her children were raised she substituted for Rapid City Area Schools and taught at Storm's Pre-School.

Marge loved to garden, cook, sew, travel and do crafts. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, and they dearly loved her. She was the ultimate hostess and loved to entertain her friends and family. Marge was part of the Senior Center Line Dancing Ladies, as she loved to dance. She will be remembered for her playfulness, her love and compassion, and her gentle loving heart. Her family and friends will dearly miss her, and always hold her close.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents, older brothers Herbert and Harold Stoddard, her husband Robert and 11- month old baby Michael. She is survived by her 3 children, Patrick (wife Elizabeth) Sesso, of Long Grove, IL., Timothy (wife Sherry) Sesso, of Rapid City, Jayne (husband Richard) Stone, of Buffalo, WY. Her grandchildren, Robby Sesso and Ben Sesso, of Long Grove,IL, Emily Sesso, of Bend,OR., Danny Stone, of Gillette, WY., Jill Haug, of Rapid City, and Renae Dahl, of Rapid City. Her nephews, Joseph Stoddard, of Norris, S.D. and Keith Stoddard of Rapid City.

Memorial visitation will be 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, January 22, 2016 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard.

Christian funeral mass will be offered at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 4500 Jackson Boulevard.

Inurnment will take place at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Black Hills Children's Home.
