Marjorie Lucile (Midge) Smartt, was born January 4, 1952 , and passed away at Rapid City Regional on November 4, 2018. She was born in Rapid City, SD to CW and Dorothy (Smith) Rounds. She attended Rapid City schools, graduating from Stevens High School in 1970. She enjoyed her horses and other pets, as well as the squirrels and birds that frequented her back yard. Midge's favorite season was Christmas, because it embodied the goodness of the human spirit.

Midge married Wally Smartt on April 21, 1979 in Rapid City, and they spent their married life in Rapid City. She is survived by husband Wally, sister Dottie Peck, brother Chuck Rounds, all of Rapid City, and half-sister Karen Kern of Pierre, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jean Estenson and Caryl Ellis.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, Nov.14 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Graveside services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
