RAPID CITY - Marlene Meador, 74, Rapid City, passed away peacefully Tuesday April 15, 2008 at Westhills Village Health Care Facility in Rapid City. Marlene Mae Anderson was born June 24, 1933, in Lead, SD to Walfred and Martha Anderson. She graduated from Lead High School in 1951 and attended S.D. State College in Brookings, SD and Barnes Business College in Denver, CO. Marlene and Rodney Meador were married on March 24, 1953 in Lead. To this union three children were born and raised. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She held several offices in the church's women's group (TLCW), Mary Circle, Bible study leader, circle leader, Altar Guild, Sunday School, and Bible School teacher. She was a member of Chapter BR, PEO Sisterhood. Marlene is survived by her husband Rodney, of Rapid City; daughter Sharon Demos of Borger, Tx; son Kevin (Cindy) of Centennial, CO; son David (Lori) of Las Vegas, NV; eight grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son in law, Jerry Demos and a sister, Kathleen Parsons. Marlene and her family thank the wonderful staff at Westhills Village Health Care for the loving care they provided during her residency there. Visitation will be from 4 PM until 7 PM Monday, April 21st, at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 22nd, at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Wilbur Holz and Rev. Al Jacobson officiating. Interment will be at Mt. View Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Trinity Lutheran Church, the Rapid City Club for Boys and PEO Educational Loan Fund.
