Martha Link, 94, Rapid City, died Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital Hospice House. She was born December 11, 1913 at Artas, S.D. to Christian and Carolina (Ackerman) Kauk. Martha grew up in Artas. She married John Link, September 15, 1935 in Arlas. They lived in Wishek, ND until moving to Aberdeen in 1952. In 1972 they moved to Rapid City. Martha was very active within the First Presbyterian Church, including the choir and volunteered at Rapid City Regional Hospital for many years. She enjoyed her family, especially the grandchildren. Gardening was her hobby, purple flowers were her favorite. She is survived by; a son Stan Link, Rapid City, a daughter in law, Doris Link, Rapid City, two brothers; Gust Kauk, Eureka and Oscar Kauk, Sioux Falls, two sisters; Lea Parker, Rapid City and Freida Trautman, Eureka, six grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9:00am until service time Thursday, April 3, at the First Presbyterian Church, Rapid City. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday at the church with Rev. Jan Christensen officiating with interment following at Mountain View Cemetery. A memorial has been established to First Presbyterian Church
