OLATHE, CO- Mary J. Aldrich, 70, passed away on August 19, 2024 in Olathe, CO.

Mary was born October 26, 1953 in Pierre, SD.  She was adopted by Marion and May Krebs, she was an only child.  She grew up in Rapid City, SD.  Prior to moving to Olathe, she resided in Hill City for over 35 years.

She married the love of her life Richard Aldrich, 25 years ago. They enjoyed dancing, camping, white water rafting, and all things outdoorsy. In recent years, they enjoyed traveling all over in their RV.  Mary was a talented, diverse artist. She had a wide range of artistry she mastered.  A few years ago she began painting rocks. She touched many people's lives with the beautiful rocks she would create and leave all over the communities she would visit.  She was a free spirit with a fierce zest for life. She enjoyed family gatherings around a dinner table and a good game night.  Mary loved her sweets; she was always known to have a hidden bag of cookies or candies.

Mary is survived by her husband, Richard Aldrich, Olathe, CO; children: Connie Tesch, Bremerton, WA; Joseph Lindgren, Olathe, CO; Michael Lindgren; Colorado Springs, CO; Julie Avila Martinez, Rapid City, SD; Jennifer Jackson, Rapid City, SD; Elicia L'esperance, Port Orchard, WA; and Terry Aldrich, Rapid City, SD; Stacey Aldrich, Eugene OR; and Katie Cavalcante, Alton, IL; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday August 29, 2024 with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home; 2700 Jackson Blvd. Rapid City, SD. Burial will be at a later date.

A luncheon will follow at the Rockerville Community Center; 23776 Golden Hills Drive, Rockerville SD.
