Mary Ethel Bergemann died on August 31, 2026, ten days after her 104th birthday.

She was born Mary Ethel Potter on August 21, 1922, in Money Creek, Minnesota, in Houston County, the daughter of Frank and Mary Edel Potter.

On June 19, 1948, she married A. Grant Bergemann. Together they raised their family of four in Bloomington, Minnesota. In later years they traveled extensively by motor home before settling and thriving in Oro Valley, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Grant Bergemann, on July 7, 2017 and son in law David Deeny, on June 13, 2023.

She is survived by her four children, Mark, Joan Deeny, Kent, and Paul; six grandchildren John, Andrew, Mark, Molly, Garrett, Mike; and nine great-grandchildren Jacob, Lucy, Thomas, Violet, Frances, Brett, Hadley, Nora & Graham.

Service will be held at St. Therese Catholic Church on October 13th at 1:00pm with the internment in Black Hills National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
