Mary Catherine Haveman 85 of Rapid City passed away Monday May 3, 2021.

Mary was born June 14, 1935 in Glenrock, Wyoming the daughter of George R, and Minnie I. (Sarvey) Campbell.

Mary moved with her family to Custer in 1948 and graduated from Custer High School in 1954. After graduation Mary attended Black Hills Teachers College in Spearfish South Dakota receiving her teaching certificate in 1956.

After receiving her certificate Mary taught in a country school in Broadus Montana. Moving to Rapid City in 1957, she married and started a family.

Mary worked for various businesses in Rapid City including Landstrom's Black Hills Gold Jewelry, Stampers and Checkrite.

Mary was active in the community volunteering first for RSVP and later AARP.

Mary is survived by her daughters; Cathy Haveman, Laurie Coy, and Diane Lane all of Rapid City,  1 Sister Margaret (George) McClellan of Worland, WY, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers George, Bill, Edward, and Malcolm Campbell.
