Mary Ann Love, 79, of Rapid City, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2016 at Rapid City Regional Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born on January 5, 1937 to Jerome and Ann (Bleth) Zubrod in Watauga, SD.  She played and worked on the farm along side her brothers Meryle (Yvonne) Zubrod of Spearfish and Duane (Kaye) Zubrod of Fountain Hills AZ while living in McIntosh, SD. She then moved with her family to Rapid City.

While working at a grocery store she meet the love of her life, Robert Love. They married on October 9, 1954.  This 61 year union produced 3 children; Mike (Nancy) Love of Rapid City, Jim (Judy) Love of Rapid City and Deb (Brian) Voss of Custer; 8 grandchildren Mandy (Terry) Tarrant of Sturgis, Tara (Dave) Love of Sturgis, Shane (Deseree) Love of Sturgis, Jaymie (Amanda) Love of Addis, LA, Justina (Tyrel) Schmelz of Rapid City, Casey (Brandi) Hislop of Idaho, Josh (Michelle) Hislop of Rapid City, Brandon (Amy) Hislop of Harrisburg, SD; 2 step-grandchildren Terri (Idress) Jenkins of Rapid City, Tammy (Jimmy) Mack of Las Vegas, NV, 18 great grandchildren, 6 step-great grandchildren & numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Meryle.

She worked at Big D for 17 years before retiring. Mary Ann's favorite hobbies were camping, fishing, gardening and knitting/crocheting .  She also loved cooking and baking delicious meals and treats for her family and friends. She will always be remembered as a fun loving, sensitive and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 21, from 5 until 7 p.m., with a 7 pm Christian vigil service at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Christian funeral mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22, at Blessed Sacrament Church.  Burial will follow in Black Hills National Cemetery.
