Obituary

Mary "Maureen" Nall, 66, Rapid City, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010 at her home. Mary was born August 6, 1944 in Galway, Ireland to Seamus and Bridget Curran. She lived in Ireland until age 17 when she moved to the Boston, Mass. Area. There she met Thomas Nall who was in the U S Coast Guard. They were married On June 10, 1967 and later moved to South Dakota. In 1969 they moved to Rapid City. Maureen has worked at Albertsons, now Family Thrift Center, for the past 20 years and was known as The Irish Lady of the Deli. She was a member of the British Wives Club, Noon Optimists, Open Bible Christian Center and the YMCA. She loved to attend Black Hills Symphony concerts. Surviving are two daughters, Tracy Nall, Rapid City and Terrie Nall, Denver, CO and one son, James Nall, Denver, CO, 2 sisters, Catherine Flavin, Sligo, Ireland and Nora McCormack, Leeds, England, three brothers, Patrick Curran, London, England, Bartley Curran and Thomas Curran, both of Galway, Ireland and many beloved aunts. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Judith Curran. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 Monday, Sept. 27 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:30 Tuesday at Open Bible Christian Center with Pastor Les Potts officiating. Burial will be at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis. An Irish Wake will follow the burial at Rushmore VFW Post 1273 in Rapid City. A memorial has been established.
