On Thursday, October 21, 2021, Master Sergeant Thomas Henry Pringle, passed away unexpectedly at his home at the age of 45.
Tom was born on December 24, 1975 in Mitchell, South Dakota to Ronald and Cheryl Dahlman Pringle of Bridgewater, South Dakota. He joined the Army on August 15, 2001 and served for20 years, including a combat deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. On March 9, 2007 he married Yvonne Joyce of Atlantic, Iowa. They raised one daughter, Kaitlin, and two sons, Blaine, and Carter.
Tom loved the outdoors. He was passionate about hunting, fishing, and riding Harley's with his father and siblings, something they would always do together. He loved spending time with his family, especially kayaking, bowling, golfing, and watching movies together. He was always there for his children, always ready by their sides for anything they needed, whether homework, sports, or moving to the next Army adventure. He supported Yvonne when she decided to go back to school and pursue a new career. Tom always put family first.
Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas Henry and Mary Louise Pringle, John and Dorothy Dahlman, and his father, Ronald Henry Pringle. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne, his children, Kaitlin, Blaine, and Carter, his mother, Cheryl Pringle, siblings, Heath Pringle (Jamie), Dorothy Pringle, Ronald B. Pringle (Lisa), and Christine Duerksen (Christopher), along with many nieces and nephews.
The graveside service with military honors will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota on November 12, 2021, at 12:00 p.m.
