'Mickie' Petrick

Maxine M. "Mickie" Petrick, 87, died at The Victorian Assisted Living on Sunday, October 2, 2016.
She was born on February 1, 1929, in Owanka, to Henry 'Bud' and Birdie (Pilkins) Hinzman. She attended rural school near Owanka and New Underwood High School. After school, Mick moved to Rapid City and was united in marriage to Frank E. Petrick on July 10, 1946. After Frank passed away in 1986, she was married to Dick Balding. She and Dick owned and operated the Family Thrift Liquor Store. After Dick's passing, she married Pat O'Neill. Mickie was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Birdie (Jim) Lethlean, of Rapid City; 2 sons, Gary (Claudia) Petrick, of Rapid City and Larry (Maryann) Petrick, of Sturgis; 2 brothers, Bill (Sharon) Hinzman and Don (Pam) Hinzman, all of Rapid City; a sister, Shirley, of California and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her 3 husbands, a brother, Burnell and 3 sisters, Boots, Ann and Bonnie.
A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, at Black Hills National Cemetery. A procession will leave Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home at 12:15 p.m. A luncheon will follow the burial at VFW Post 1273 at 2:00 p.m.
