Rapid City – Michael  Groskopf, 40, died Sunday August 4, 2024 at his residence.

Michael Lee Groskopf was born October 4, 1983 in Rapid City, SD. His parents were Lee and Martha Joanne (Cloyd) Groskopf.

Mike attended school in Rapid City. He had a great love for music and was able to play many instruments well. He also had a passion for cars. Mike was employed at several businesses in the Rapid City community. He married Sarah Frewaldt in 2010 and they were later separated.

Survivors include his father Lee Groskopf, ex-wife Sarah Groskopf, son Chance Groskopf and daughter Madyson Frewaldt.

Mike was dearly loved, even amidst his many challenges. He is preceded in death by his mother on May 11, 2024.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00am and his funeral service will be at 10:00am all on Monday, August 12, at Westminster Church in Rapid City. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery next to his mother, Martha.
