Micheal Raymond Richey(Mikey) passed away on Saturday November 23, 2024 after a long battle with alcoholism. His body was not strong enough and just gave out on him. Michael was born on September 19, 1978, in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Mike loved bowling, especially being able to help with the Special Olympics bowling. He competed and traveled to many tournaments, including numerous nationals around the country. He won many local and state bowling titles. Mike was also an avid sports fan, and could be seen rooting for some of his numerous teams, especially for the Wyoming Cowboys, theColorado Rockies, Buffalo Bills and Cleaveland Browns. His favorite person to root for the most was his step daughter, Taya no matter what sport she was playing.

Surviving is his father, Ray, his wife Corie, and step-daughter Taya. Also surviving, are his brother Christopher (Heidi) of Casper, Wyoming, and a sister Dennesa Linder of Summerville, SC. Mike also had a step granddaughter, Emberlynn.  Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Karla, and all grandparents.

A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. There will be a time for followship after the burial service at Meadowood Lanes.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to the Black Hills Humane Society or the South Dakota Special Olympics.
