Michelle Anne Winchester, Rapid City, was born on March 16th 1954 to James and Della Winchester. One of ten children; she learned quickly that love, forgiveness, and a robust sense of humor was her best way to navigate life with her naturally larger than life personality & penchant for telling things exactly as she saw them.

She graduated from Saint Martens Academy in '72 and by 1977 found a calling that would carry her through a career she loved in the antique and used furniture business. In her nearly 50 years at Antique and Furniture Mart she made countless friends and could recall the last conversation she'd had with them and just pick up where they last left off, whether it had been a week or a year.

Her many interests included sewing & crafting, The Wizard of Oz, animals of every kingdom - especially ferrets, of which she rescued many throughout the years. Looking for bargains with her bestie and chatting for hours cannot be forgotten as well. She also dreamt of visiting the UK & Paris, a trip she did get to take with one of her dearest friends that she reminisced fondly of in the time since.

Her family truly was a massive extension: of her relatives, co-workers that were akin to adopted sisters, and the friends she made from school & through her livelihood in antiquing.

"Chelle" was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Donald, Leonard, and Jeffery Winchester, and her sister Suzette Miller. She is survived by her son Keith Winchester, daughter-in-law Jenny Winchester, sisters: Angela Winchester, Pamela Kellogg, and Camella Dietzman, brother Leland & sister-in-law Pam Winchester and brother Michael Winchester, many nieces and nephews and their little ones and her friends that were her adopted sisters and brothers too numerous to comprehend.

Services will be held in late September of 2026 in order to make time for family and friends to make travel arrangements.

She will not be forgotten by the lives she touched, be it in endearment or infamy.
