Memorial obituary Rapid City Mildred J. Willis, 76, died Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Rapid City Regional Hospital. Mildred Julia Huffman was born October 3, 1934 at Sturgis, SD to Sherman Harrison and May [Berke] Huffman. She married Harold Huey Willis on June 23, 1956 at Lead, SD. She worked at SCI in Rapid City for many years as a production specialist. Survivors include her husband: Harold H. Willis of Rapid City; one son: Todd [Pam] Willis of Rapid City; two daughters: Gail [Gary] Denke of Rapid City and Marcy [Shawn] Wiechmann of Rapid City; one grandson; four granddaughters; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers: Sherman [Sandra] Huffman of Box Elder and William [Martha] Huffman of Belle Fourche; and one sister: Helen [Fred] Smith of Rapid City. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Linda Knoll and one son: Boyd Willis; two brothers: Don Huffman and Fred Huffman; two sisters: Ruby Smith and Freda Stedgestad. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday October 3 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard, Rapid City. Services will be 10:30 am Tuesday, October 4 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 910 Wood Avenue with Pastor Sam Bobby officiating. There will be private family burial at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis at a later date.
