RAPID CITY- Nancy M. Chada, 67, died Friday, February 18, 2022, at Monument Health.

Nancy was born March 27, 1954, in Guthrie Center, Iowa, to Claire and Helen (Schott) Kirkpatrick. Her family moved around throughout her childhood and ended up in Benkelman, NE. She met David Chada in Benkelman. Nancy and Dave married on December 31, 1970 at Brule, NE. Nancy and Dave made Brule, Nebraska their home prior to moving to Ogallala in 1971 where Nancy held several jobs including TRW, Home Health, Community Hospital, and Paks Developmental Services.

Nancy had a servant's heart, and she truly enjoyed helping and caring for others. In 2011 Nancy and Dave moved to Rapid City, where Nancy cared for people at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She also was a volunteer at Monument Health.

Nancy and Dave enjoyed going to auctions, junk jaunts, and garage sales. She also enjoyed traveling and seeing the world.

Above everything else, family was the most important thing to Nancy. Her nieces and nephews were also deemed her kids.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Claire and Helen Kirkpatrick; brothers: Joe and Davy; and sisters: Penny and Judy.

Nancy will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Dave; daughters: Michelle (Brian) Moore; Nichole (Tracy) Knepp; seven grandchildren: Angel, Miranda, McKayla, Conner, Brandon, Casen, Camden; two great grandchildren: James and Alyvia; several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends too numerous to name.

A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. A reading of flowers will begin at 9:30 a.m.

A memorial has been established to support the things that Nancy loved.
