IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nancy Ann
Love
September 21, 1948 – April 11, 2023
Nancy Ann Love was born on September 21, 1948, to Joseph Frazier and Joyce Martell in Glendale, California. As the oldest of four children, she displayed graciousness and unmatched patience towards others from early on. A true California girl at heart, Nancy would spend every moment she could at the ocean. She attended Granada Hills High School, later pursuing cosmetology school and stepping into various other opportunities that life brought her. Nancy moved forward to work at Walt Disney Productions in California for around ten years, which speaks to how radiant and distinctive her character really was.
After moving from California to South Dakota in 1988, Nancy met her husband, Michael Love, shortly after. They were later united in marriage on February 14, 1991. Two families came together as one, creating irreplaceable bonds amongst one another that would transcend time itself. They shared 6 daughters and 1 son throughout their years together. Some activities they enjoyed as a family included water skiing, snowmobiling, and camping. Their family grew larger as time continued to pass, making great friends along the way. In 2021, Nancy and Mike moved to Hart Ranch in Rapid City, South Dakota, to live in their camper and take on a new adventure. It was here that they met many special friends who Nancy truly cherished. Nancy's family was her most proud accomplishment, as she continuously poured every ounce of herself into them without falter.
Alongside her devotion to family, she also held a strong passion for baking. Nancy was very successful and owned her own bakery in Rapid City, called Nancy's Fancy Cupcakes and Cakes. After taking time off from baking professionally, she eventually started back up at Hart Ranch during the time that her and Mike spent there. Her free time was usually dedicated to listening to music, dancing to it, and being a friend to others. Above all, though, her free spirit found overflowing joy in the open road with the wind in her hair. Riding motorcycles would always trump any other pastime in Nancy's book.
Perhaps the most evident attribute within Nancy's character was her larger-than-life presence. Her bright soul offered selfless love to everyone surrounding her. Her life was a living example of Matthew 5:16- "Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven." From a young age, Nancy aspired to seek the Lord and held close to her dream of getting baptized one day. During her battle with cancer, she was able to fulfill this dream on May 1, 2022, where she was baptized at Fountain Springs Church in Rapid City.
On April 11, 2023, Nancy gained her angel wings after her battle with pancreatic cancer. Thankful for having shared her life, Nancy's legacy lives on through her loving husband, Michael Love; her mother, Joyce Roth (Martell); sisters, Victoria Schuetz and Cheri Casella; children, Tamara Mack (Jimmy), Terri Jenkins (Idrees), Amanda Tarrant (Terry), Tara Pietz (David), Shane Love (Desarae), Jimi-Jo Mathewson, and Gale Ragan. She also lives on through her 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Frazier; brother, Lawerence Roth; mother-in-law, Mary Love; and father-in-law, Robert Love.
Nancy got to enjoy her own celebration of life party with her family and friends before passing. There will be no services to follow.
