Patricia Ann (Heeren) Amburn was born February 5, 1952, in Sioux Falls, SD, to John and Gretchen (DePauw) Heeren.
She passed away May 29th, 2022, from complications due to lymphedema.
Mass of Christian burial will be September 26, 2022, 10:00am, Our Lady of the Black Hills, Piedmont, SD, with internment following at Black Hills National Cemetery.
Patricia graduated from Stevens High School in Rapid City in 1970. She married Larry Amburn on June 1, 1974, at the Cathedral of Perpetual Help in Rapid City. They initially lived in Rock Springs, WY, moving to Casper, WY, in 1976. They moved back to Rapid City in 1985. Patricia worked as a bank teller for a time, was a stay-at-home mom for her two children, and later enjoyed doing daycare out of her home.
Patricia was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She loved babies - especially her six grandbabies - loved fall drives in the Black Hills, and sharing a good bottle of wine with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Amburn; her father & mother, John & Gretchen Heeren; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Leonard & Agnes Amburn, brother-in-law Milton Hinsch, brother-in-law, Larry Monheim; sister-in-law Beverly Amburn
Patricia is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Bryan & Angie Amburn (grandchildren, Brandon, Veronica, Alanna, Rebekah) daughter, Danielle Amburn (grandchildren,Taylyn & AJ) sister, Dianne Hinsch; sister, Janet Heeren; brother, John (Tammy) Heeren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
