Rapid City Patricia Mary Jean Wood, 83, died Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Golden Living Center-Prairie Hills, Rapid City, SD. Patricia was born July 3, 1926 at Santa Ana, California to Seymour and Grace [Langseth] Brown. This is the area she attended school and grew to adulthood. She was a lifelong resident of Santa Ana. She enjoyed the beach and playing the piano. She was a bookkeeper for JC Penney for many years and a loan officer for Downey Savings Bank. She retired from Downey Savings Bank in 1995. Pat moved to Rapid City in 2008 to be closer to family. Pat was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her son: Casey Adams and his wife Denise of Stephenville, TX; her daughter: Melody Erickson and her fiance: Greg Watson of Black Hawk, SD; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. There will be a private burial at Fairhaven Memorial Park Cemetery at Santa Ana, California at a later date.
