Patrick Todd
Fajardo
October 11, 1968 – March 28, 2026
Patrick “Todd” Fajardo, age 57, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
Todd was born on October 11, 1968, in Denver, Colorado, to Pat Fajardo Jr. and Colleen Bolton Mason. He spent part of his early childhood in Rapid City before moving with his mother to Arizona in 1972. There, Colleen met Mike Mason, and the family later relocated to Upland, California, where Colleen and Mike were married and welcomed a son, Shannon.
After the passing of his stepfather, Mike Mason, in 1999, Colleen and Shannon returned to Rapid City to be near family. At the age of 37, Todd was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. With the progression of his illness, he chose to return to Rapid City to be close to his loved ones. Despite the challenges he faced, Todd remained a quiet and gentle soul who rarely complained. As his condition advanced, he became a resident of a nursing home in Clark, South Dakota, where he was cared for in his later years.
Todd cherished memories of his childhood visits to Rapid City, especially time spent with his cousins and grandparents. He fondly remembered the joy of driving around the yard with his cousin Rob and sister Tina, always encouraged by his Grandpa Fajardo, who made those moments special.
He is survived by his mother, Colleen; his daughter, Brittnee; his son, Jaime Parker; two granddaughters; his brothers, Darin, Shannon, Austin, and Giovanni; his half-sister, Tina Petrik; his cousin, Rob Thompson, who will deliver the eulogy; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Todd was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Fajardo Jr. in 1972, grandparents: Gene (Elizabeth Bolton), and Pat Sr. (Mabel) Fajardo; his stepfather, Mike Mason; his uncles, Garry Sogge and Fred Fajardo; and his aunt, Marie Guest.
Todd will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quiet strength, and the love he held for his family.
A graveside service will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Rapid City where he will be laid to rest next to his father, Pat.
