RAPID CITY- Peter M. Roberts, 66, Rapid City, died Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

He was born to the late Peter and Jane Roberts on August 16, 1950 in New Mills, England. Peter became a naturalized U.S. citizen on December 8, 1975.

Peter served in the U.S. Army combat in Vietnam from 1967-1970 and served in peacetime in Germany as a petroleum lab technician from 1976-1978. He was honorably discharged on July 7, 1970 and again on February 24, 1978.

Peter attended Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

Peter was an avid Rock n Roll aficionado and collector and enjoyed taking many road trips throughout the United States; touring almost all 50 states.

He is survived by siblings: Hazel Bourassa, Ontario, Canada; Lynne Stetler, Rapid City; Bill Roberts, Norman, OK; and Shona Bates, Bartlesville, Ok.

Private burial will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
