Phyllis Ann Weaver passed away on July 25, 2026 in Summerset, SD.

She was born October 5, 1936 in Rapid City, SD, the youngest child of William and Ruth Anderson. She attended high school in Rapid City and got her teaching degree from Black Hills State University. She married Jack Weaver on December 26, 1957 and had two sons.

Phyllis is survived by sons Daniel Weaver of Denver, CO and Donald Weaver and family of Alamogordo, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as by her brothers Wayne Anderson and Donald Anderson and her niece Barbara Lewis.

She taught elementary school for over 50 years in Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota, and New Mexico. Phyllis enjoyed going to church services and functions. She liked baking and was considered very good at it, as well as crafts like pottery, macrame, and embroidery. She enjoyed music, from classical to Elvis Presley. Phyllis loved animals and her pets were always an important part of her life.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 402 Kansas City Street in Rapid City on Wednesday August 5, 2026 at 10:00 am with visitation beginning at 9:00 am. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
