Ralph Richard Holso, age 75, from Rapid City, SD and Rural Deadwood, SD passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on May 27, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Ralph started out as an automotive technician working for various dealerships; and then became a service manager at James Motors in Rapid City, SD. Ralph spent the remaining years of his career at Dodge Town in Rapid City, SD as a car salesman.
Ralph participated in 4-H from an early age. In later years, his involvement included mentoring and leading the Roubaix Rangers. His love for 4-H, kindled his passion for ranching and raising black angus cattle. Throughout his life, Ralph ranched at his beloved family homestead, which he continued until his last days.
Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family and teaching them the value of a hard days work. Often you could find Ralph haying, feeding, sod busting while using his favorite tractor; tinkering in his shop; managing his herd; mentoring and teaching the next generation; and sitting in his pickup enjoying his coffee and eating cookies. He spent countless hours fishing and hunting with his kids and grandkids. He created many special memories, which will be cherished by those that loved and admired him.
Ralph shared a life with his wife of 27 years, Jeana Holso; his children (who he shared with their mother, Patricia Holso): Candi Foltz-Hall, LeAnn Holso and Richard (Angie) Holso; stepdaughter, Laura Fairhead; grandchildren: Trinda (Marvin) Carroll, Tyler Foltz, Hailey Holso, Taylor Hall, and Walt Holso; great grandchildren: Grayson Carroll and Brooklyn Holso; sister: Eleanor Jatko; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
