RAPID CITY- Rebecca Maria Rencountre, 75, joined her beloved family in heaven on July 6, 2015. Specifically she joins her immediate family: her husband Earlwin James Rencountre Sr., her sons, Earlwin James Rencountre Jr. and David Lee Rencountre, and her grandson Carlos Hopkins. Her daughters survive her: Jeavene Runningshield and Adele Jean Dougherty. She also leaves behind her sons: Charles Rencountre, Roy Rencountre, and Francis Rencountre. She says goodbye to many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even a few great great grandchildren. She parts from her sisters-- Avalina Seals and Lorraine Shellhaas, her brothers Delfino Solano and Fred Chevalier. And she leaves many cousins and extended family members of the community in Pennington County and beyond. Grandma Becky touched the hearts of so many in her lifetime. Her family continues with the love she gave us and with heart-etched memories. We will all miss her terribly. Visitation of her body will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8, at St. Isaac Jogues with a rosary following at 7:00 p.m. Christian Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015 at St. Isaac Jogues. Her body will be laid to rest at Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery with her husband. Following the funeral, there will be a shared meal at the Mother Butler Center.
