It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Donald, who departed this world on 16 May 2023 at 12:00 p.m. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and cherished memories that will forever be etched in our hearts.
Born on 8 March 1937, Donald's presence brightened the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He possessed a kind and gentle spirit, and his unwavering devotion to his family and friends was unmatched. He forged lasting friendships that spanned decades. He was a source of inspiration, a listening ear, and a reliable shoulder to lean on. He was a loving husband, father, and a loyal friend. His genuine care and support touched the lives of countless individuals and will continue to inspire us all.
As an accomplished Vice President for First Federal Savings & Loan, and Certified Consumer Credit Counselor for Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Black Hills, SD, he excelled in his field, dedicating himself to his work with integrity, skill, and a tireless work ethic. His dedication and commitment were recognized and admired by colleagues and clients alike. He was a true professional, always striving for excellence.
Beyond his professional achievements Donald had a profound appreciation for Bible study, travelling, cruising, spending time in the yard, lawn bowling, caring for his teacup poodle, Bear, and enjoying the simple pleasures of life, reminding us all to cherish each moment and embrace the beauty that surrounds us.
During this time of profound loss, we find solace in the memories we shared with Donald. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those he loved and touched. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the extraordinary life he lived, the values he instilled, and the love he shared.
In honoring his memory, let us strive to embody the qualities that made Donald truly exceptional. May we be guided by his compassion, his integrity, and his unwavering commitment to family and friends. Though he may no longer be physically present, his legacy will continue to inspire and guide us on our journey through life.
