Rapid City – Rhonda Weaver, 67, died Christmas Day, December 25, 2020 at home.

Rhonda Lu Weaver was born November 16, 1953 in Igloo, SD to Arthur and Alvina (Gunville) Lawrence.

Rhonda was a very selfless person. She was so honored to lend a hand to the less fortunate  through her volunteer work with St. Vincent  De Paul, to care for the elderly and to raise and rehabilitate animals, especially tortoises. She loved raising the hatchlings.

Rhonda was a very talented and crafty person. She found so much joy in doing bead work. Count yourself lucky if you've received one of her beaded key chains. Greatly loved her daughters Amy, Beth, grandson Roman, and stepchildren.

Most of all, Rhonda loved being a devout Catholic. She said the Holy Rosary daily, as well as regularly attending Mass.

Survivors include her mother Alvina Lawrence of Rapid City; daughter Amy Sue Lawrence of Oregon and Dorothy Elizabeth Weaver of Rapid City and stepchildren: Kelly, Alfred, Jason, and Steven; one grandchild Roman Robles of Tigard, OR.; six brothers: Ross Lawrence of White Horse,  Frank (Jamie) Lawrence of Chamberlain, Gerald Lawrence of Rapid City, Thomas (Lori) Lawrence of Rapid City,  Wade (Deeann) Lawrence of Eagle Butte,  and Kenny Lawrence of Rapid City; three sisters: Lisa Rosenau of Rapid City, Julie (Glen) Huggins of Sioux Falls, and Darla (Cliff) Zechiel of Rapid City.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her husband Al Weaver, sister Candace Bauman, father Arthur Lawrence, and sister-in-law: Debbie Lawrence.

Visitation will be at 1:00 pm, Rosary at 1:30 pm, and Funeral Mass at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, December 29 at Cathedral of our Lady of Perpetual Help.

Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
