Richard Victor Falk, 84, left us on April 8, 2020. Richard was a long-time resident of Rapid City, SD

He was born in Courtney, ND on May 18, 1935 to Tony and Mary Falk who preceded him in death. He had an older brother Raymond Falk who also preceded him in death.

Richard married Sharon Lee Erickson on June 29, 1963. They started their lives together in Miller, SD where all four of their sons were born. After working many years in the clothing industry for Grigg's Clothing Stores East River, they moved to Rapid City.

Richard served in the US Army where he received the Good Conduct Medal. He was given an honorable discharge in March of 1960. He was also an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church, The Knights of Columbus and The Moose Club. He was an avid fisherman who spent many afternoons on the lake with his family.  He was a devout LA Lakers fan and never missed a game if he could help it. He passed that passion on to other family members including his granddaughter.

Richard is survived by his wife of almost 57 years, Sharon; his son and daughter-in-law Jeff & Kelly Falk, Springfield, MO; son Dan Falk, Rapid City; son and daughter-in-law Mike & Molly Falk, Rapid City; son and daughter-in-law Pat and Beth Falk and their daughters, Sage, Saphrin & Samber also of Rapid City; a nephew and his wife, David & Faye Falk & their two sons, Jamestown, ND; and a niece, Janet Falk, Jamestown, ND.

There was a private viewing at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home on Friday April 10 ^th for immediate family only due to national health concerns and travel restrictions, which was then followed by cremation.

A memorial service will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church on Monday, July 27 at 9:00 am.  Inurnment will be at 11:30 am at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
