Richard Bobo, 82, of Rapid City, SD passed away at his home on July 23, 2022 . His passing was sudden and unexpected, and our family is heartbroken. Richard was born on September 12, 1939, to Harley Tedrow Bobo and Mary Elizabeth Leoffler in Athens, Ohio. Richard attended school in Shade, Ohio. After school, he joined the United States Air Force. He served his country honorably for 22 years and retired as a Master Sergeant of the 44th Transportation Squadron at Ellsworth Airforce Base in Rapid City. SD. After retirement he continued to work at the Airforce Base at the Base Exchange and commissary. Richard enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels, golfing, fishing, wood working, painting, gardening, and traveling. He was able to accomplish his lifelong goal of traveling to all fifty states as well as internationally with the love of his life Dale Perkins by his side. Anyone who knew Rich knew spending quality time with his family was the highlight of his life. He enjoyed spending as much time as possible with his three children, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Richard was loving, caring, strong minded and always willing to share his wisdom. On July 23 we all lost an amazing Veteran, Father and Papa and he will be deeply missed.

Richard leaves behind his wife Dale Perkins, his children Richard "Rick" (Kathy) Bobo, Janet (Jack) Smith, Susan (Don) Spaduzzi, Bridget (Scott) Albers, and Daniel (Wendy) Perkins, his grandchildren Amber (Andrew) Larkin, Elizabeth (Justin) Nelson, Michelle (Chris) Suttle, Racheal (Calen) Bowman, Brady Perkins, Kayla (Hunter) Pegues, Lauren Spaduzzi, Zachary (Alyssa) Spaduzzi, as well as all his great grandchildren Adeline, Aniston, Jayde, Trace, Lily, Guenith, and Maddison.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Harley Tedrow Bobo and Mary Elizabeth Leoffler.

We will have a funeral service to pay our respects at 10:00 AM on Tuesday August 2, 2022, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home located at 2700 Jackson Blvd, Rapid City, SD 57702.
