Rita S. Larson (Hulm), 89, past Rapid City resident, died Monday, September 12, 2016 at a rest home near Crown Point, Indiana.

Rita was born July 29, 1927, the daughter of Adam and Helena (Geffre) Hulm, in Timber Lake, SD. She grew up in and graduated high school in Timber Lake.

She was married to Morris D. Larson on November 22, 1949 in Timber Lake. Rita and Morris had four children, Cheryl, William (Bill), Patricia and Richard.  Rita was a beautician in Timber Lake for 25 years.  She moved to Rapid City in 1968 where she sold real estate for 30 years.  She loved to garden and to play golf and enjoyed many Bridge games with her friends.

Survivors include Patricia Kruse and her husband Dan, of Crown Point, IN, and Richard Larson and his wife Jeannie of Louisburg, KS, grandchildren Richard (Brenda) and Christopher Greenwell, Adam, Nicholas (Ashley) Kruse and Lisa (Cameron) Engle, and Cody, Kade and Noah Larson, and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Morris, son Bill and daughter Cheryl.

A visitation will be held from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Monday, September 19, 2016, with a Christian Wake service at 7:00pm at the Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Rapid City with Father Steve Biegler presiding.

Interment will be in Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
