Robert F. "Bob" Johnson, 76, died at a local nursing home on Sunday, April 19, 2009. Bob served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. Survivors include his wife, Paula Johnson, Rapid City; 2 daughters, Heather Gordon, Rapid City and Amy Johnson, Richland, WA; 2 sons, Richard K. Johnson, Spokane, WA and Wade A. Johnson, Rapid City; a brother, Herb Johnson, Belle Fourche and 3 grandchildren. Visitation will be one hour prior to services, which will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 24, at First Baptist Church in Rapid City with Rev. Gregg L. J. Hemmen officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery.
