Robert "Bob" Clark Foster, 73, of Gardner, passed away Jan. 10, 2015 at Olathe Hospice House. Robert was born July 16, 1941 in Klamath Falls, OR to Dean and Alice (Thovson) Foster. He grew up in the Rapid City, SD area where he graduated high school. Bob served in the US Navy for four years where he was an electrician. He married Judy Wheeldon on Feb. 29, 1964 in Rapid City. After his military service he started as a lineman for Black Hills Corporation. Bob worked his way up to be the area manager during his 40 years with the corporation. Bob and Judy had lived in Gardner for seven years; before that they lived in Rapid City and Hot Springs, SD. He will be missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby brother Allen. Bob is survived by his wife Judy of the home; daughter Susan Foster and granddaughter Kailey, Waxhaw, NC; son Robert and wife Megan Foster, Independence, MO; nephew Jeffrey Wicks, Leavenworth, KS. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 pm Tues., Jan. 13, 2015 at Osheim and Schmidt Funeral Home. Interment will be at 10:00 am Wed., Jan. 14, 2015 at Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors provided by the Rushmore VFW Post 1273 and the U.S. Navy Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Salvation Army of your choice.
