Robert N. "Bob" Krier, 85, of Presho, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Rapid City Regional Auxiliary Hospice House.
Bob was born and raised in Presho, attending Presho School before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1953 and honorably discharged in 1955.
He returned to Presho following his military service and farmed and ranched in the area until his retirement.
Bob is survived by his two brothers; LeRoy J. (DeElda) Krier, Rapid City and Eugene (Darlene) Krier, Sheldon, IA, his four sisters; MaryLou Habben, White Bear Lake, MN, Shirley Krier, Rapid City, Donna (Fred) Ebeling, Moline, IL and Rosella Waltman, Rapid City, four nephews; Terry Habben, Tom Habben, R.J. Habben and Scott Waltman, a niece, Kelly Waltman-Rufledt, four great nieces and three great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Bertha (Leichtnam) Krier and infant sister Dorothy Krier.
A visitation will be held from 6:00pm until the wake service at 7:00pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Zandri presiding. Inurnment will be at Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been designated to the Greater Lyman County Foundation, Stanley Jones Memorial Clinic in Presho or the Rapid City Regional Hospice House.
