RAPID CITY- Robert H. Radke, 68, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Monument Health.

Robert was born January 18, 1952 in Tracy, MN. Robert served in the National Guard after high school and worked at his father's body shop. During his time of service, he met Lavona Lesmeister and was married September 28, 1974.

Robert was a man of many smiles and loved good conversation with family and friends. He loved his four grandchildren Brianna, Madison, Madeline, and Morgan unconditionally. Robert also loved helping family and friends with many projects around the house. No job was too big or too small that he couldn't complete. Robert and Lavona both lost their legs in 1975 due to frostbite. He worked at Kennys Body Shop as a body man in the early 80's with prosthetics. Robert enjoyed fishing, car rides, bingo, cooking, baking, and talking with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Lavona Radke; three sons: Bryan Radke, Rapid City; Carl Radke, Rapid City; and Christopher Radke, Rapid City; brother, Todd Radke, Marion, IA; sister, Joanne Stevens, Tracy, MN; stepmother, Kay Radke, Marion, IA; four grandchildren: Brianna, Madison, Madeline, and Morgan; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold Radke and Elizabeth Pearl VanMeveren.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
