Robert W. Sevening 78, of Blunt passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 1st in Rapid City with his family at his side. Bob was born April 6th, 1932 and grew up in the Blunt, Harrold and Onida area, graduating from Blunt High School in 1950. He married Dorothy Ping on May 26, 1951 in Deadwood. To this union, his 4 children were born. Bob taught school in Canning in the late 50s. He owned and operated Bobs Place Bar on Main Street in Blunt from 1960 to the 1970s. Bob began working at the Oahe Electric in Blunt in the late 60s and continued working there until 1978. He then left the Blunt area and moved to Las Vegas to help his parents manage their dry cleaning business. Upon his return back to Blunt he married Rose (Bourk) Klundt. They were happily married until her death on October 16, 2002. Bob will always be remembered for the generosity with which he shared his friendship. He was an incredible father and grandfather, always finding the time to give his family. His love of history and westerns fueled his many collections, both of stories and memorabilia. It always seemed as if he could fix anything and he usually did. He will be missed by many. Greatful for having shared in his life are his 3 sons, Les of Rapid City; Loren (Debe) of San Antonio, Texas and Lynn of Denver, Colorado; daughter, Leann (Allen) Weischedel of Onida. Nine grandchildren, Michelle (Chuck) Drury, Shannon (Lee) Mader and Kiley Sevening all of Rapid City; Heather, June, Errin, Alison and Robert all of Texas; Lyndsey and fiance Shane Holzwarth of Gettysburg; thirteen great grandchildren and his sister, Candice (Charles) Williams of Kerns Texas. Bob was proceeded in death by his wife Rose, his parents, 2 sisters and a grandson, Jacob Weischedel. A Service Celebrating Bobs Life will be held at a later date
