Robert E. Stapelberg, 81, Rapid City, died at the Rapid City Regional Hospital, Hospice of the Hills, Monday, Sept. 2, 2010. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Stapelberg, Rapid City; five children, Susan Drymalski, Reno, Nevada, Teresa Stapelberg, Portland, Oregon, Kristine Stapelberg, Rapid City, Robert Stapelberg, Rapid City, and Thomas Stapelberg, Tuscon, Arizona; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 PM until 7 PM Monday, September 6th, with a Christian Wake Service at 7 PM, at the Osheim and Schmidt Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 7, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, with Rev. Ed Vanorny presiding. Burial will be at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. A memorial has been established.
