Rapid City – Robert "Bob" K. Tridle, 89, died Saturday October 8, 2016 at the Golden Living Center-Prairie Hills, Rapid City.

Robert Kirk Tridle was born January 8, 1927 at Sutherland, Nebraska to George E. and Pearl Gladys [Kirkpatrick] Tridle. Bob attended school in Nebraska including the School of Agriculture in Curtis, NE. He was in the US Navy and following his discharge Bob farmed in Nebraska for 15 years.  He married Rose Anna Griffin on June 18, 1949 and they had five children. The couple moved  to South Dakota in 1963 and he continued to farm until 2008 when he then retired. In addition to farming Bob was also an electrician.

Bob enjoyed being an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.  He also enjoyed playing cards, shooting a game of pool or two, scuba diving, and being an airplane pilot. Bob is a member of the Catholic Church. He became a resident at the Kadoka Nursing Home on August 9, 2011 and became a resident of the Golden Living Center in July 2016.

Survivors include his wife Rose Anna Tridle of Rapid City; two sons: Gregory [Sylvia] Tridle and son of Hoven, SD and Fritz "Kelly" [Jackie] Tridle of Ogallala, NE; three daughters: Deborah K. [Tom] Watson of Papillion, NE, Carol A. [Randy] George of Hershey, NE, and Gina [John] Giardino of Rapid City, SD; eleven grandchildren: Jason, Robbie, Stephanie, Spring, Kristi, Ryan, Nicki, Will, Vance, Casey, and Josh; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother Joe Tridle of Glendo, Wyoming; and one sister Shirley Finch of Paxton, NE.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard Tridle.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm Friday, October 14 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 8:00 am to 9:00 am Saturday, October 15 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Mass at 9:00 am.

Burial will be at 10:00 am at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at Rapid City.
