Roger (Fuji) James Cummings, 62 of Box Elder, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away March 29th, 2015 peacefully at his home. He was born June 22nd 1952 in Hermiston, OR to James Cummings and Norma Cummings. Roger enlisted into the Navy in 1969 and served for our country during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1972. Roger met the love of his life, Jan in Spearfish, South Dakota and won her over with his impressive dancing skills. They were married September 1st 1984. Roger was a man of many talents. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, welding and always had a project he was tinkering with. He passed along his joy of these things to his children. Roger is survived by his wife Janice; sister Juanita MacMahon, daughter Talena Dixon and sons; Zeb (Rhonda) Cummings, Richard (Stacy) Harrison, Shane (Maggie) Harrison, James (Amber) Cummings and Dakota Cummings and very special to him were his great niece Destiny and great nephew Blake. Roger was also a VERY proud grandfather to many grandchildren. He was preceded in death by father and mother, James and Norma, daughter Jessica and brothers John, Edward and Howard. He shared a special bond with family and many friends. Roger will be remembered for the abundance of love he has shown his family. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Jan, his children and all his family and friends. The funeral service will be held 10:30am on April 9th at the Black Hills National Cemetery with military honors. A reception will follow at the American Legion Post 315 in Box Elder immediately following the ceremony.
