IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Roger
Rickard
May 19, 1938 – September 17, 2018
RAPID CITY- Roger L. Rickard, 80, passed away on Monday, Sept. 17, 2018.
Roger was a devout Christian and was active in the Lutheran Church. He lived his life sharing that faith with all around him. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and pheasant camp with "the guys." He was fortunate to experience world travel and was blessed with the talent to play multiple musical instruments by ear and was always willing to play the accordion or the stumpf fiddle for all who would listen.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy, children, Kimberly (Gary) Panton, Laura (Dale) Cram, James (Debra) Rickard, and Michelle (Eric) Owen, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, sisters, Kathleen (Ronald) Wolters and Sharon (Richard) Witter and sister-in-law, Bette Rickard and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gerald.
Roger was very generous with his love, time, talents, and resources. He gave freely to those in need and encouraged his family to continue this tradition. With that in mind, his family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to the Cornerstone Rescue Mission Chapel Fund, the Black Hills Children's Home, or the charity of your choice.
"As for me and my house we shall serve the Lord."
