RAPID CITY | Ron W. Fish, 53, passed away peacefully into the Lord's presence on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Rapid City Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Ron was born Sept. 27, 1960, to George and Shirley Fish in Rapid City. Ron was an honest, hard-working man who would help someone in need. He also loved his family dearly. His family was his life -- his wife and two children. He was proud of his son, Shawn Fish of Arizona to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force and later, to pursue his passion in mechanics. He was also proud of his daughter, Cassie Fish of Rapid City, to put herself through college and pursue her dreams in the medical field. He was also so very proud of his wife, Carolyn Fish, for the love and support she gave him. Ron cherished every moment with the love of his life. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Fish, Rapid City; his parents, George and Shirley Fish, Rapid City; his maternal grandmother, Florence Merchen, Rapid City; a daughter, Cassie Fish, Rapid City; a son, Shawn Fish, Phoenix; two brothers, Cliff (Kim) Fish and Richie (Peggy) Fish, all of Rapid City; two sisters, Joyce (Scott) Weckworth, Rapid City, and Laura (Ed) Joehns, Black Hawk; a stepdaughter, Jessica (Jeremy) Gaudino and their children, Joshua, Caleb and Noah, Box Elder; and a stepson, Jason (Katie) Wiedrich and their children, Grayson and Avyn, Rapid City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faith (Massey) Fish in 2003; and his grandparents. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at Open Bible Christian Center, 2225 E. St. Patrick St. Burial will follow at Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
