Obituary

NEW UNDERWOOD- Ronald Ray Cole-Brinkman, 52, New Underwood, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 at home. Ron was born September 11, 1959 in Denver, Co to Sally (Cole) Brinkman and Joseph Brinkman. Ron grew up in Black Hawk, SD. He married Kathy Frizt on May 27, 1983. Of this union they had three beautiful daughters. Kathy passed away on March 19, 1995. Ron then married Krislyn Frein on August 14, 1995. Of this union they had one daughter and one stepson. Ron had a great love for life. He was in the National Guard. He worked with a harvesting crew, security, truck drive, WalMart, and then as a mechanic. Then at the age of 45 he decided to go to College. He attended Western Dakota Tech and received two degrees in Auto Body and Mechanics. He had some health issues but was determined to graduate. He graduated at the age of 50. He was so proud. Ron had many hobbies; stock car racing, volunteer fire department, volunteering for the Sherriffs office in Meade County, camping, fishing, playing pool, and bowling. Ron loved his family and friends very much. He made everyone laugh with a joke or funny face. His laughter was contagious. Ron leaves to cherish his memory and celebrate his life; his children, Karen (Chris) Greene; Kandra (Donald) Macangus; Kalsy Brinkman; Makala Brinkman; one stepson, Keith Martin; all of Rapid City; four grandchildren: Lexi Greene, Gabby Macangus, Khloe Macangus; and Clara Crutcher. He is also survived by two sisters, Tonda (Dave) Levesque, Rapid City; Michelle Prince, Black Hawk; two brothers, Jackie Brinkman and his wife, Denver, CO; Frank (Robin) Brinkman, Arroyo Grande, CA; aunts, Bonnie (Paul) Lehmann; Barbara Sealy; MaryLou Marsh; and many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruby McLain; grandfather, Jospeh Brinkman; wife, Kathy Brinkman; brother, Joseph Brinkman; uncles, Charles Cole and Patrick Brinkman; and cousin Fredrick Sealy. Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home
