RAPID CITY- Ronald Joseph Glowcheski, 84, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Rapid City Regional Hospital Auxiliary Hospice House.

Ron was born March 19, 1932 in Arcadia, WI to Ambrose and Mildred (Feltes) Glowcheski. Ron enlisted in the United States Air Force on March 17, 1952. He served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War as a B29 Boom Operator. He was honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant on November 30, 1976.

He married Claudine Grossell on October 12, 1957.

Ron was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of TREA. He loved fishing and hunting.

He will be remembered for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Claudine; son, Bob (Susan), Running Water, SD; brother, Richard (Jancie) Glowcheski, Arcadia, WI; sister in law, Donna Glowcheski, La Crosse, WI; sister in law, Catherine (Jerry) Block, Rapid City; grandchildren: Shane (Megan) Glowcheski and their daughter, Elizabeth, North Umberland, PA; Chris (Angela) Glowcheski and their daughter, Emersyn, Dawsonville, GA; Cassandra (Roger) Medricky and their children, daughters, Peytyn and Preslyn and son, Bradyn and a son on the way; Mykel and friend (Jordyn DeMers), Rapid City; Kimberly Jonas and friend (Travis Balvin) and son Kason, Springfield, SD; Mikayla Glowcheski, Springfield; dear special friends, Scott and Kelly Faulk and their daughter, Emily, Rapid City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ambrose and Millie and son, Michael; and one brother, Fred.

Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2016 at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with full military honors rendered by the Ellsworth Air Force Honor Guard.

Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 16, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home with Rev. Janusz Korban officiating.
