Rose L. McCamly, 89, of Rapid City, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017.

Rose Anschutz was born in Nisland, SD to Alex and Mildred (Norlin) Anschutz on January 30, 1928.

She spent her days working along side her dad on the beet farm where a lot of special memories were made. When not working outside with her father, she loved cooking and baking with her mom. Moms' homemade caramel rolls and homemade noodles were just a couple of her specialties. She always spoke of the love she had with her siblings and parents. Rose always said they grew up poor, but they had love and laughter and that's all they needed.

The family moved to Rapid City in 1944. She met and eventually married Charles Fenton. They had six children; Charles, who died in infancy, Ronald (Paula) Fenton, Ozark, MO, Robert (Lorelle) Fenton, Golden, CO, Roxie (Barry) Peterson, Rapid City, Rosalie Hayes, Arvada, CO and Rodney Fenton, Rapid City.

On December 13, 1963, Charles lost his life in a railroad accident. Mom handled this with courage, strength and faith.

Years later, she met and married Bill McCamly, and to this uniuon, two children were born; Billie (Laurie) McCamly, Rapid City and Barbara (Rob) McNabb, Rapid City.

Mom was quite a humble lady with a quick wit. She was most proud to be a mother of 7, grandmother of 15, great grandmother of 25 and a great great grandmother of 12.

She is also survived by her siblings; Sonny, Lloyd and Jim Anschutz.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and her parents.

A visitation will be held from Noon until 1:00pm on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Pine Lawn Memorial Park Chapel.

A service will be held at 1:00pm in the chapel followed by graveside services at Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
