Obituary

Roy T. Kittock, 93, passed away at Rapid City Regional Hospital Auxiliary Hospice House on Monday, March 5, 2012. Roy was born on July 21, 1918, in Scobey, MT, to Thomas M. and Annie (Krueger) Kittock. He joined the Army Air Corps in 1938. In 1942, he was united in marriage to Dorothy M. Cotton, and to this union 3 children were born, Janice, Thomas and Penny. Roy retired from the Air Force in 1965 as a Lt. Colonel after serving over 25 years. He then attended Black Hills State and attained his accounting degree in 1972. Roy then was employed with Hills Materials for several years. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Kittock, Rapid City; a son, Thomas (Dianne) Kittock, Rapid City; 2 daughters, Janice Talarico, Rapid City and Penny (Doug) Cap, Pearce, AZ; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Lillian) Kittock, Billings, MT and a sister, Caroline Holyk, Plains, MT. Visitation will be from 9 until 10 a.m. on Friday, March 9, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, at Black Hills National Cemetery with Capt. Chaplain Henry Jenkins officiating. Military honors will be provided by Ellsworth Air Force Base Honor Guard.
