Obituary

Box Elder- Roy Eugene Pack, 71, passed away at his home in Box Elder, SD, on Friday, March 4, 2011. Roy was born at Gillette, WY, on August 31, 1939. He grew up on his parents ranch near Gillette, Wyoming. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea, and again during the Cuban Crisis. After serving in the military, he worked in the oilfields in Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado. He is survived by a son, Roy Eugene Pack, Jr., Story, Wyoming; two sisters, Audrey Tyrrell, Mesa, Washington; and Nany Parnell, Eltopia, Washington; one brother, Bud Pack, Rapid City, South Dakota; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Dallas Pack; two sisters, Donaldene Loobey; and Beulah Pack; and one half-brother, Ernest Pack. Military Services with Military Honors provided by the VFW Post 1273 and the South Dakota National Guard will be on Monday, March 14, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis. A procession will leave the funeral home at 2:15 PM.
