RAPID CITY - Ruby L. Eldridge, 82, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 14, 2023.  She was born on September 23, 1940 to Oscar Fred McClanahan and Bertie Frances (Huffman) McClanahan in Strasburg, Virginia.  Over the years she resided in Desoto, IA, Tom's Brook, VA and Rapid City.  After 33 years of hard work and devotion, she retired from Casey General Stores.

Ruby enjoyed gardening, bingo, bowling, trying her luck at the Powerball and Scratchers, collecting angel figurines but most of all, she loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Larry Stepp (Cindy) of Desoto, IA, Janet Willuweit (Tim), her brother, Jerry McClanahan, sister, Patsy Clark (Rodney) as well as six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as 11 siblings.

Ruby was dearly loved and will always be remembered.
