Tucson, AZ - Ryan A. Schneider, 29, of Las Vegas and formerly of Rapid City, died at the University of Arizona Hospital at Tucson on Tuesday, January 01, 2013. On January 1st, our miracle child Ryan Schneider left us to make his mark in heaven with his pool cue in hand. Ryan was born on January 16, 1983 to Andy Schneider and Donna Ashland in Houston, Texas. Ryan's journey through life was not an easy one. His battles with cancer started at age seven months and ended just short of his 30th birthday. Ryan graduated from Stevens High School in 2002 and continued his education at Mitchell Vo Tech. He graduated from Mitchell in 2004 with a degree in Satellite Communications. His work took him on many trips through the states and Canada with a few side trips to France, Dubai and Mexico. Ryan was last employed by PSSI Strategic Television in Las Vegas, Nevada. Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Ryan will miss his great outlook on life, his practical jokes and teasing, but most of all his infectious laughter! Ryan is survived by his parents Andy & Karla Schneider (Rapid City, SD), Donna & Mike Nott (Forest, VA), sisters Sarah & Michael Mann (Memphis, TN), Brittany & Jordan along with niece Adriana and nephew Owen Linial (Rapid City, SD), Jessie Schneider & Nathan Hurst (Anchorage, AK), brother Eli Schneider (Rapid City, SD), "brother from another mother" Brian & Jessica Blomstrom (Los Angeles, CA), grandparents Ruth Schneider (Rapid City, SD), Richard & Ardelle Erdmann (Rapid City, SD), Frank Ashland (Forest, VA), aunts and uncles Judy & Will Kallal (Cheyenne WY), Susan & Mike Messinger (Rapid City, SD), Carol Erdmann (Dallas, TX), Sallie & Jim Ashton (Houston, TX), Ruth & Brice Denton (Rapid City, SD), Dave & Lisa Schneider (Belle Fourche, SD), Sandy & John Troy (Omaha, NE), Wendy & Scott Adams (Highlands Ranch, CO), Rob & Jackie Nott (Bedford, VA), Tina Roberts (Milford, CT) and many loved cousins. He was preceeded in death by nana Berdena Ashland, grandpa Adolph Schneider, and Grandmother Connie Kiliany. A memorial will be established at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at South Canyon Lutheran Church, 700 - 44th Street with Rev. Bruce Thalacker officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Rapid City.
