RAPID CITY- S. Glenn Paulson, 87, died Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at Fountain Springs Health Care.
Glenn was born January 10, 1931, in Faith, SD, to George and Lucella (Comstock) Paulson. He attended Lincoln grade school and graduated from RCHS in 1949. His work career began as a paper carrier for the Rapid City Journal, on to Swanders Bakery, and ending with 40 years in the South Dakota National Guard. Following retirement, he engaged in his true passion and built several homes in the Rapid City area.
Glenn married Mary Lou Bailey on October 14, 1954. They completed their family with daughter Jayne. Early in her life she became Glenn's hunting and fishing companion. They had many interesting and fun adventures. Glenn also was an avid poker player and played with three different groups.
Survivors include his wife Mary Lou, sister Beverly Anderson, Hill City, SD, daughter and son-in-law Jayne and Andy Marso, Rapid City, and several nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, brother Loren, and brother-in-law Andy Anderson.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, July 6, 2018, at 11 am at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Interment with military honors will be at 2 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery.
