Sandra L. Feist, 66, of Rapid City, died unexpectedly on Friday March 16, 2018, at the Rapid City Regional Hospital.

The daughter of Lindy and Jean (Skeel) Feist; Sandy was a well-rounded lady that grew up knowing the value of hard work and perseverance.

Sandy was the proud mother of four sons. She had her two oldest sons at a young age but did not let that slow her down. She went on to obtain an LPN license and have two more boys. She followed her initial work as a nurse by working at Pete Lien & Sons hauling rock.

Sandy returned to nursing and put herself through school to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree at SDSMT and followed that up by becoming a Registered Nurse. She also became a Licensed Massage Therapist and eventually bought the school where she learned message. She spent many years teaching message under her school, the Scientific Massage Institute, all while raising her children.

Sandy ended her career as a nurse working at RCRH in Rehab. She retired at 62, but ultimately went back to work two days per week with Wright Vision Center.

Throughout her life, she was a favorite at potlucks. She always brought a unique dish, decorated with her own style. She made so many friends over the years, all of which she cherished dearly.

Sandy is survived by her four sons: Jamie (Shamie) Overby, Jeremy Flesner, David (Sandy) Parks, and Ole Oleson; her mother Jean Feist; sisters: Linda Woerth, Margie (Randy) Downey, Wanda Lutes, and Donna Suchor; eight grandchildren; and aunts: Lorraine Erickson, Georgia Feist, and Rught Skeel; uncle Lonnie Skeel; several cousins, and many good friends.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father Lindy Feist and grandson Tiegan Flesner.

Sandy wished to be cremated. Please join her family for a Memorial service at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home, 2700 Jackson Boulevard, Rapid City, SD 57702 with the Rev. Herb B. Cleveland officiating.

The memorial service will be immediately followed by a Celebration of Life at the Canyon Lake Resort, 2710 Chapel Lane, Rapid City, SD 57702.
