Scott was born on June 9, 1962 in Sioux Falls, SD to Wayne and Dorothy Ficken.  He was the youngest of 4 children.

Scott graduated from Steven's High School in 1980 and went on to college at USD in Vermillion.  He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business.  Upon completion of college, he moved to Dallas.  It didn't take him long to become an avid Cowboy's fan.  Scott held season tickets for over 25 years.  Many, many Thanksgivings were spent with family and friends tailgating before the game.  Some very fond memories!

Scott was very dedicated and influenced many.  He will be remembered and greatly missed.

Preceding Scott were his parents, Wayne & Dorothy and sister-in-law Traci.

Scott is survived by; his sister, Pam (Sam); brothers, Bill (Rise) and Doug; nephews, Jason (son Chase), Matt, Brad (Kelsie), Steven (Cortney), Kevin (Alyssa) and Cody; as well as many cousins.  Lifelong friends Gary & Sue, Leonard, Eric, Brandy & Cy. Many, many, many longtime friends.  Especially those at Shuck 'n Jive, Scott's favorite "watering hole".

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 11:00 am at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home on Jackson Blvd.  The family requests no flowers.  Please bring photos, stories and memories to share.

Location of the luncheon, immediately following the service, will be announced at the service.

In honor of Scott and his love for football, please wear attire to support the Dallas Cowboys or his favorite college team, Nebraska Cornhuskers, or sport your favorite team.

RIP Scott.  We love you and are going to miss you so much.
