Sharon (Shari) Demos, 70, of Parker, CO, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024.  She was a generous, devoted, and caring wife, mother, sister, and friend who often put the needs of others ahead of her own.  Shari was born to Rodney and Marlene (Anderson) Meador in Deadwood, SD, on March 24, 1954, and grew up in Rapid City, SD.

Shari met her beloved husband, Jerry Demos, at the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, where she was taking nursing classes.  They were united in marriage on November 21, 1972, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rapid City.  Jerry's career moved them all over the United States and overseas – Bartlesville, OK; Great Falls, MT; Sweeny, TX; back to Bartlesville; Stavanger, Norway; back to Bartlesville again; and Borger, TX.  Shari was a homemaker and dedicated member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.  Wherever she lived, she was active in a local P.E.O. Chapter, serving as Chapter President in Borger, TX.

Shari was known for her compassionate nature, giving spirit, and infectious laugh.  Her personality brought joy and comfort to everyone she encountered, and her passing will be mourned deeply.  Shari's memory will remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those who were honored to have the privilege of knowing her.  Her legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around her with her kindheartedness and unforgettable spirit.

Shari is survived by her three daughters – Alyssa (Keith) Mattecheck of Parker, CO, Anthea Demos of Parker, CO, and Chloe (Justin) Head of Abilene, TX; two brothers – Kevin (Cindy) Meador and David (Lori) Meador; four grandchildren who all lovingly called her "Yia Yia" – Aidan Mattecheck (14), Emerick Mattecheck (12), Charlie Head (11) and Tyros Head (8); as well as numerous family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry, and her parents, Rod and Marlene.

Memorials can be made to P.E.O. International (www.peointernational.org) to help women around the world advance through education – a mission dear to Shari's heart.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 14, at Trinity Lutheran Church.  Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
